Powered Aircraft Pilot Training
PPL(A) & LAPL(A)
Aeroclub Soběslav has been a Declared Training Organisation (DTO) since 12 July 2019, reference number CZ.DTO.057. We provide PPL(A), LAPL(A) training and NIGHT rating.
The Private Pilot Licence PPL(A) is issued under EU regulations and valid in all EASA member states. It permits the holder to fly single-engine piston aircraft with passengers for non-commercial purposes. The LAPL(A) – Light Aircraft Pilot Licence – is a simpler variant limited to aircraft up to 2,000 kg MTOW and maximum 3 passengers.
Training is conducted on the new Robin DR-400.
Requirements
- Medical: Class 2 medical for PPL(A), LAPL medical for LAPL(A). Initial exam at aviation medical centre.
- Age: Training from 16 years, license from 17 years.

Training aircraft
- Robin DR-400 (OK-SOB) – new French four-seat aircraft with Lycoming IO-540 engine (180 HP).
